To prepare the pepper-infused oil, heat about 100 ml of coconut oil and 5 grams of pepper over gentle heat and strain. 4 If overnight oiling still doesn’t work for you, try oiling your hair 30-60 minutes before washing.

3. Handle wet hair with care

Wet hair is fragile. It is more bouncy than dry hair and therefore breaks more easily. Brushing, combing, or even towel drying your hair while it’s wet can damage it. If your hair is straight, comb it with a wide-toothed comb after it has dried slightly. If your hair is textured or tightly curled, use a wide-toothed comb when it’s slightly damp for easier combing.

4. Use a natural conditioner after washing

Many natural oils also double as conditioners—choose from coconut oil, argon oil, olive oil, and just dab a little on damp strands and let it stay in. 5. Comb your hair only when needed

Using a moisturizing conditioner can help gently ease tangles.

6. Use a weekly deep conditioning hair pack

If your hair is dry, frizzy or damaged, a weekly deep conditioning treatment is just what your hair needs. While you’ll find many products on the market, a simple homemade honey hair mask will do the job perfectly. Honey is a humectant, that is, it attracts and retains moisture. So, mix half a cup of honey with a tablespoon of olive oil and apply it to your scalp and hair. If too thick, add a little warm water. Then put on a shower cap and let it sit for about half an hour. 7. Treatments to Avoid Damaged Hair
